My overall experience with Caroline was way different than I imagined. Not only was she easy to work with but she cared about who I was and wanted to portray that in my photos. She took the time to get a feel for what I was like and made sure I was comfortable and having fun through the entire experience. As someone who looks a little out of the box compared to most of my fellow classmates I was a little worried my photographer would try and censor my “edge”. Getting my picture taken is something I have never enjoyed in the past, but with Caroline, I had the most amazing time! My senior pictures were the first professional photos I have ever gotten, and it was an experience I will never forget. Before even meeting Caroline I had a makeup appointment with Beth and it was such a confidence boost to hear about Caroline from one of her colleagues. Beth had relatable stories of previous senior and made me feel at ease in the salon. She prepped me by boosting my confidence and telling me just how amazing Caroline is. After meeting Caroline, my worry subsided completely. We met for pictures and within 10 minutes we were both laughing and gawking over the amazing pictures she had just taken. Caroline Madsen photography, for me, captured personality as well as originality. There is nothing I love to do more than ski and when I showed up with them at my photo shoot Caroline seemed enthused and also excited. We were not three photos into our session when I heard "Wow, I think I got it." She literally took my perfect picture in the first five minutes because she knew what I loved and how she wanted to portray that love. Her skill captured a senior picture of me that was unlike any other I had ever seen, a one of a kind. Aside from her sheer talent, Caroline is a fun person to be around. Her photo shoot does not feel like you are hanging out with a complete stranger but rather a close friend who some how had the ability to connect with me on a personal level. It is sad that I am only a senior in high school once because senior pictures are fun. Without ever having any professional photo shoot done, I was nervous going into this photo shoot. However after seeing many of Caroline's previous photographs I was sure she was the one to do it! Working with Caroline was an experience in itself . She made the photo shoot easy. She was very fun and outgoing and even though I was shy and quirky in front of the camera, it didn't stop her. She somehow managed to create amazing photographs of me through it all. Like most girls, I've looked forward to senior pictures for a very long time! When I finally needed to decide who I knew without a doubt I had to have Caroline! Senior pictures are a huge deal. It's something you look back on for the rest of your life and you want your pictures to be an accurate, beautiful representation of you. Caroline is the best, without question! She made me feel like an absolute PRINCESS the entire time. My session with Caroline surpassed my expectations by a long shot. Weeks before my pictures, I was counting down the days until I experienced the one night that I have been envying since I was in the 6th grade; my senior pictures. That Friday came and it felt like Christmas. The anticipation was finally over! I couldn't wait to go to Beth's to get my hair and makeup done and to feel like royalty. Finally, it was time to start shooting and as the shoot went on I could feel myself become more comfortable in front of the camera. I don’t necessarily enjoy getting my pictures taken, so preparing for my senior session was nerve racking to say the least. I worried about what to wear and how to pose so much, that when the day of my session came around, I didn’t know what to expect. However, Caroline’s camera taking skills and pure personality calmed all my nerves within minutes of my session. Caroline made jokes, hopped over fences, and nearly stepped on an ant hill to capture the perfect shot, clearly showing her dedication. Caroline quickly made me comfortable, allowing me to pose naturally and have so much fun. I was also lucky enough to have Beth do my hair and makeup and come along with me on my session. Beth did a wonderful job, completing flawless hair changes in merely 10-15 minutes. Her makeup skills are equally as capable. Being the first girl of three, my mom and I had no idea where to begin with senior pictures. We procrastinated and procrastinated making the decision, and then we saw pictures Caroline had taken, and we were floored. Her work was phenomenal. We were lucky enough she let us book a session, considering we called so late. Due to our busy schedules, and the distance, making time to meet prior to the session was difficult. Caroline, however, was extremely understanding and so easy to work with! She and her phenomenal makeup and hair artist came all the way out to our farm. It was so, so nice of them to let me take get my pictures taken in a place so special to me and my family. We spent a few hours picking out outfits, and she was very understanding of each of my little picky requests. I cannot thank her enough for being so easy to work with! She made me feel so comfortable and it was an amazing experience.

I have known Caroline pretty much my whole life so I knew that she was the one I would choose to take my senior pictures. Following her for the last few years on Instagram, I have seen all the pictures she has taken and by golly does she do a fantastic job! I had always hoped that my mom would agree with me that she would do my senior pictures because her photos are pure perfection. She knows how to bring out the best of you so she can take that perfect shot. You only get senior year once and I am very glad to have chosen Caroline. At first I was very nervous, I don’t know why because it was one of the best experiences I have ever had and will ever remember. She knew how to make you laugh, feel comfortable and confident in every photo. Even if you felt like you were awkward, on the other side of the camera she made look like a queen. So, here is how the story goes… In order to start the session I needed my hair and makeup done. I arrived at Beth's cute little shop and was greeted with only happiness. She was awesome, she offered me something to drink, made sure I was comfortable, and her dog was adorable which is always a plus. Once we got my hair and makeup done, which was GORGEOUS, she turned me around to the mirror to see the finishing product. I don’t think I had felt any more beautiful in my entire life. I couldn’t wipe the smile off of my face. I made it to Caroline’s and we picked out my first outfit to wear. Once I was dressed, we loaded up the car and we were off to find the perfect spot. We went out and found all our perfect places, I loved each and every spot we chose or found. Side note but I was also very thankful for Beth and her coming out with us to make adjustments for my makeup and hair. Anyways, when we came to the first spot, I had no clue what to do but Caroline directed me. I felt really awkward for the first few pictures but they came out to be beautiful and I love all of them, you can’t just love one. I will forever and always remember that day and how I had so much fun and laughter. Also the rule all three of us had made which was, “Whatever happens or is said in Caroline’s car stays in the car!” Thank you both so much, Caroline and Beth, it was amazing and I’m glad I got to experience my once in a lifetime senior photoshoot with both of you!

As someone who rarely takes photos of themselves, I had no idea how to come across as photogenic. Shooting with Caroline felt so natural, and the experience had an appeal much deeper than the photos themselves. The entire session we were talking and laughing, and she even helped match my shirts with one outfit. Professionalism goes a long way, and Caroline made sure to stay on top of everything. Whether it be emails, pricing, scheduling, and picking locations Caroline was organized and courteous. She was extremely flexible in her timing, and with her professional attitude towards photography the pictures came out the exact way I wanted them to. The compliments I have received on my photos only further show how talented Caroline is with a camera, and the timeless poses and versatile locations have allowed the photos to look good on any wall, any desk, and in any wallet. As I step into my senior year I'm beginning to realize how different my life is going to be, and how different I'm going to be, after I move on from high school. Your senior year is such a big part of your life and it really is the perfect milestone to be captured. I can't wait to look back at my pictures 50 years from now and remember what kind of person I was during this time. Ever since I began high school I always thought about my senior pictures and how amazing I wanted them to be. During my junior year was when I discovered Caroline and I instantly fell in love with her pictures. As an incoming high school senior, I had never had professional photographs of me taken, so senior pictures were a wary foe. To be frank, the event was completely terrifying at first. However, despite my early-on awkwardness, Caroline managed to make me look beautiful, happy, and carefree. With the immense help of her enthusiastic and enjoyable disposition, I gradually eased into the shoot, and by the end of the session, I was laughing at her hilarious jokes and having one of the most pleasurable experiences of my senior year thus far. To further emphasize Caroline’s incredible skills, I had my hair and makeup done by Beth. This talented young makeup artist is a complete joy to be around. The makeup was flattering, light, and reflected my personal style. Most importantly, she didn’t make me look over-done or under-done on camera. The hair was exactly what I wanted. After showing her one photo of my ideal hair, she completely transformed my flat, stick-straight dissapointment into something absolutely Pinterest-worthy. After completing my hair and makeup, she was kind enough to agree to attend my shoot. Having her at my shoot was one of the best decisions I have ever made. She turns into a super-woman for those few hours, carrying anything and everything, making sure no hair dares go out of place, and touches up your lipstick before you even begin to notice. On top of all of that, she makes you feel comfortable and at-home, cracking jokes and suggesting great ideas. Both of these women created an absolutely magical experience for me. I could honestly not be more pleased with the fantastic outcomes of my shoot. The shots vary in expression, lighting, background, and atmosphere, with each one being more stunning and unique than the last. I received my photos in an extremely timely and convenient manner. Caroline truly cares about the entire process of the photos, contacting you prior to the shoot to confirm outfits and to brainstorm setting ideas. She texts you periodically to update you about the progress of the photos after the shoot. To summarize, I will repeat the words I said to my underclassman friend when she informed me she was having Caroline take her photos: "You have absolutely nothing to worry about, she will make you feel confident and beautiful. And when you see the photos, you won’t have any doubts that you are exactly that."

Like most people out there, I am constantly critical of how I look. Pictures are somewhat anxiety-provoking and I rarely like how I look in them. That being said, I was extremely nervous for my session with Caroline. What if my makeup and hair didn’t look good? What if I picked the wrong outfits? What if I didn’t pose the right way? What if I felt awkward and uncomfortable? I had seen others’ beautiful photographs and thought there was no way mine could look that perfect; no way that I could actually be happy about pictures of me. However, taking senior pictures with Caroline was incredibly effortless and every single picture she captured of me made me feel beautiful. Her makeup and hair artist enhanced my features, rather than covering up the real me. During the session, Caroline made me feel like a professional model and I have never been so comfortable in front of the camera. Even though it just started, I already know for a fact one of my favorite memories from senior year will be my photography session with Caroline. I would choose her as my photographer a thousand times over.

Caroline and Beth were more than helpful in every way. The week of my originally planned shoot had horrible weather and Caroline did not hesitate to reschedule for the next best weather opportunity. I knew exactly what was going to happen from good communication and packets of information- there is a consultation beforehand that she goes over outfits and anything else you could possibly want to know so you look your best on the big day. I chose to have my hair and makeup done also, which I would highly recommend for senior girls; it looks very professional. The shoot itself was very fun and easy going. Don't stress about knowing poses or if you look good, Caroline lets you know everything you need to know. If price is a concern, it really is a once in a lifetime experience and you receive exactly what you want! Overall I could not be happier with my senior pictures!

I would 100% recommend Caroline to take your senior pictures or any pictures actually. Working with Caroline went better than I could have ever imagined! Being the oldest child and never having gotten professional pictures before I had no idea who I wanted to get my senior pictures done by. My mom and I met Caroline while I played on a team with her daughter Emma and after talking to her a little about what she does and looking at her work I immediately knew that I wanted Caroline to do my pictures. I am a pretty shy person so I was nervous that the entire session would be very awkward and the pictures wouldn't quite turn out how I wanted them to. However that is not what happened at all. Caroline knew exactly how to get me to open up and made the entire experience so much fun. She put so much thought into picking the perfect background for every outfit I had chosen and my pictures turned out stunning. I would also highly recommend Beth who did my hair and makeup. I was always very assured that I wanted Caroline Madsen to take my senior portraits, but when it came to clothes I had no idea. And by the time my photo session came around, I was more confident than ever, and it was all thanks to Caroline. She made the entire memorable experience into one that felt like a dream. I had the most amazing experience getting my senior pictures taken by Caroline Madsen. It was definitely way easier and stress free than I could have imagined. Caroline drove out to my house (in the country) with her exceptionally talented hair and makeup artist, Beth Burrall. Caroline sized me up, advising me of some different outfit ideas and things. She has a great eye, I might add! After Beth finished on my makeup, we proceeded to pile into her car. I had no ideas of where to even start but Caroline remained undaunted.
